|Here an Idea I'd like to offer to you all.
We are getting to the point where you could have allot of minor league players getting to the majors at once and you could need to unload players to make room for them. Some players worth enough that it is easy enough for you to do so but other players maybe not so easily and there would be players that you hold onto too that you like to deal but you hold onto them tell your forced to cut them but they are players that could help other teams and will get picked up when you cut them.
So here an idea where those players could get too where they could help someone and you get something out of it.
An Idea I'm calling a reset draft and this is how it would work. We cut down to the roster limit of 30 on yahoo and after we have our waiver clams for international players. I will ask you what players you would like to make available to be drafted. It can be any player from your major league team or minor league team. They will be drop from your roster and we have a draft for them. You can include as many or as few as you want or none at all however if you choice none at all you will not have any open roster spots to draft any of them.
Alright the draft. If one of your players gets drafted you get something back in return. Say, You drafted 1 player and 1 of your players gets drafted by someone else. The player you drafted would be your return for the player you lost.
Now say you draft 1 and lost 3 players. The league will give bonus picks in the minor league draft and in this case you would be down 2 players so you would get 2 bonus picks in the minor league draft.
All the Bonus picks will be in the middle of the 2nd round. All the non playoffs will have there 2nd round pick first then all the bonus picks and then the playoff teams close out the round. The draft order of the bonus picks will be based on the Yahoo season ranking of all the players drafted. So better the player you include to be drafted the better the pick will be. Plus you will get 2nd bonus pick if the player you lose finishess in the Top 60 in season Ranking and a 3rd Bonus if one is in the Top 25. Just to make it interesting and to get you to offer so good players that could really help some teams that could use the help. So they can build up faster or reload.
Then after the draft before the Major League draft you will be allow to add back onto your roster your players that was not drafted but you will have too have an open roster spot to do so. Also any players on your minor league roster that is past the 150 At Bat / 20 Game+Starts limit will not be allowed to be re-added to your minor league team. So think about that before including them.
So I'd allow you to re-add them although if they don't get drafted you likely will not be able to trade them.
So what you say, I think this is a unbelievable good idea. It lets everyone to get raid of the player they like to move and it would make trading easier too for right now trading is about I got this player that I think is over rated and will give me something good for him but if you get raid of the players you want gone then trading becomes I want that player and the discussion becomes what you know you'll going to have to give to have a chance to get him.
